Adhana Group is running farmer seminars across Jhunjhunu, teaching the use of digital platforms for crop sales, exports, and government scheme access.
For most farmers in Jhunjhunu, the journey from harvest to income still passes through middlemen. Information about fair prices, alternative buyers, and government support schemes is often locked behind paperwork, language, and distance. Adhana Group is changing that one seminar, one farmer, one app at a time.
Across multiple villages in Jhunjhunu and Khetri, our team, supported by agronomists and progressive farmer mentors, runs structured digital-literacy seminars. Farmers learn how to use mandi-price discovery apps, how to list produce on government e-mandi platforms, how to apply online for PM-KISAN, crop insurance, and soil-health card schemes, and how to access export aggregator platforms for high-value crops.
We don’t stop at theory. Each seminar includes hands-on demonstrations on a farmer’s own smartphone, refresher visits in the next cropping cycle, and a WhatsApp helpline operated by the Adhana team for follow-up questions. Where required, we also provide entry-level smartphones and free training to women farmers who lack devices of their own.
Early results are encouraging — farmers in pilot villages report better prices for the same crop, faster scheme onboarding, and a meaningful reduction in time lost to district offices. More importantly, they report a new sense of agency. They no longer feel they are ‘at the mercy’ of the supply chain.
For Adhana Group founder Sumer Singh Adhana, this work is personal. ‘Every farmer’s child should be able to dream as freely as a banker’s child,’ he often says. Digital empowerment of the farmer is how we make that dream possible.
